XM8 Series GrandMini Dual Head: This laser engraving/cutting system has two laser tubes, one for each of the two lens assemblies permanently mounted on the X axis gantry to provide XM8 Lasers customers double production capability. Each engravable area is 35.4” x 25.6” with 9 choices of wattage available as each lens assembly has its own laser tube.
Looking at previous incarnations of a dual head laser engraving/cutting laser system, LECME inc the parent company of CheckMate Lasers felt this design could be improved upon. As we all know existing ideas and designs can always be improved upon, so we went back to the drawing board and contemplated the existing designs of a single laser tube with two lens assembly's with the beam passing 50% power thru the first lens, thereby allowing 50% power to each lens, hence a 100 watt laser tube would provide only two 50 watt systems. The other problem we saw was the typical dual head had a small work area that made for two tiny work areas. In the spirit of innovation we wanted to provide much more to the XM8 Laser customer.
With our glass lasers tubes being very inexpensive and affordable compared to the typical metal tubes we figured there has to be a way to install two laser tubes with each having its own independent optics system. With the desire, the knowledge of previous designs and engineers eager to tackle our request we finally have a system ready to "put the laser industry in check" once again! Two affordable glass CO2 tubes mounted in a huge machine each with their own optic system. CheckMate Lasers is proud to present the "GrandMini Dual Head" laser system.
The following laser tube combinations can easily be installed on the new XM8 Series GrandMini Dual Head laser system: 130/100, 130/80, 130/60, 100/100, 100/80, 100/60, 80/80, 80/60, 60/60. This model has the same exact functions and features as our other units in the flagship XM8 Series but with the benefit of twice the production capacity on a single machine with full power to each lens assembly (unlike the old and tired 50% power designs).
